Pay Range: $ per hour

Position Summary

The Commercial HVAC Technician performs the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial heating and cooling equipment, including rooftop units, furnaces, central air-conditioning systems, and commercial refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain HVAC systems, including Hydronic, Steam, Forced Hot Air, and Heat Pump systems
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment
  • Maintain a high standard of mechanical installation practices
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Deliver quality workmanship while adhering to company safety standards
  • Complete documentation and service records accurately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 5 years of HVAC service and installation experience, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC and related equipment
  • CFC Certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and any required background checks, including DMV and criminal history reviews
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures

  • Demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment
  • Experience providing quality, professional customer service
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle disruptions and changing priorities with professionalism
  • Ability to work independently in a commercial setting

  • May be required to drive or ride in a vehicle for two or more hours at a time
  • May work at outdoor job sites with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
  • Frequent use of hands to handle tools, equipment, and controls
  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous physical work in field conditions
  • May work with or around construction materials and chemicals requiring safety data sheet knowledge
