Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an entry-level Drafter to join our Houston team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Houston, TX

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements:  Occasional site visits required

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares drawings relative to project requirements and/or deliverables as directed by designers.
  • Responsible for making revisions to existing drawings, for all disciplines, per markups furnished by engineering or designers.
  • Capable of making site visits to help designers and engineers gather field information.
  • Develops an understanding of drawings for all disciplines.
  • Develops an understanding of project responsibilities with respect to specific task deliverables.
  • Develops an awareness of the project schedule and budget.
  • Team Player and willing to assist with helping other staff.
  • Promote safety in all aspects of involvement.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Drafting from an accredited institution.
  • Familiar with professional office work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Punctual, willing to work extra hours.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • AutoCAD, Plant 3D.
  • Previous Electrical & Instrument experience.
  • Intern or previous experience in the Petrochemical industry.
