Job Title: Small Engine Mechanic

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, service and repair motorized power equipment (Pumps, generators, chainsaws, concrete mixers, concrete saws..etc.).
  • Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans and work performed with field leaders.
  • Adjust components according to specifications.
  • Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
  • Know Company safety policies and adhere to them while working at all times.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the jobsite supervisor.
  • Part-time or Full-time employment are both accepted for this position.

 Job Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with engine components/systems and know how they interact.
  • Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot without immediate supervision.
  • Must have steady hand/eye coordination for tasks including disassembling engine parts, connecting or attaching components and using hand tools.
  • Able to keep workspaces clean and organized.
  • Able to work safely according to OSHA standards.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, balance and crawl frequently, with the ability to lift 25-50+ lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be punctual and able to work onsite.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical training is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a small engine repair shop is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required.
