Job Title: Field Engineer

Location: North Dakota - Minot to Williston & into Dickinson
Loenbro is looking to hire a Field Engineer to join our growing team in our pipeline division. This position will support a Project Managers and Superintendents on various heavy industrial construction projects. This position will be based out of North Dakota, but frequent time on work sites and travel to and from worksites is expected. All candidates are subject to pre-employment and on-going drug/alcohol testing.

Job Duties
- Know, Abide, and Participate in Loenbro’s safety program
- Maintain a daily project diary and help establish project priorities
- Daily timecard entry and approval
- Track and record project costs, production quantities, yield statistics, and onsite inventory counts
- Compile cycle times and production information and log this information for historical data
- Gather pay item quantities and collect information on extra work items
- Conduct timely billing and reporting
- Manage and maintain department specific technology and computer programs
- Document schedule delays and perform schedule updates
- Assemble and distribute project plans and specifications updates
- Sustain a comprehensive understanding of the plans and specifications
- Coordinate efforts with management, project technicians, and customers to maintain and meet project scheduling
- Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Technicians, Management, Superintendents and customers to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner
- Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule
- Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base
- Ensure accurate reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance
- Assist project in helping to meet or exceed expected margins
- Understanding and documentation of pipeline sampling/testing results
Qualifications/Skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or equivalent preferred
- Experience in construction industry preferred
- Competent in all Microsoft products and scheduling experience
- Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work both in field and office settings and an ability to work in a high production, fast moving environment
