Job Title: Overhead Distribution Foreperson
This position will be responsible for the supervision of a 4-5 lineperson crew to ensure proper administration of training, pay practices, disciplinary action, work production, adherence to safety practices, and interpretation of policies. Coordinate with the GF Customer to complete work orders.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Directs the crew members on specific job tasks.
- Enforces safety practices, and briefs the crew on work tasks and the hazards associated with the job.
- Receives and interprets orders by the GF & coordinator of electrical utilities.
- Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
- Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of records.
- Assists with accidents and investigations.
- Responsible for job cost control.
- Assumes responsibility for the inspection, proper working conditions, and necessary repairs to tools and equipment.
- Assists with field training of new equipment.
- Confers with customers, property owners, the general public, other contractors, and representatives of utilities and governmental agencies.
- Meets with GF, Utility coordinator, Safety Representatives, and others.
- Responds to calls within twenty (20) minutes.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays for extended periods; may be required to perform duties as part of the recovery force during emergencies and disasters.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to visualize the job build.
- Must be able to identify the hazards on the job.
- Must have the cognition to solve problems.
Pre-Screen:
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
Travel Requirements:
- Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Safety
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
