Job Description:

As a Small Tool Mechanic, your more typical responsibilities will include:

  •     Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on small engine equipment and established products as requested by the Shop Operations Manager and  ITE team. 
  •     Prepares paperwork required in conjunction with work assignments.
  •     Maintains the condition of company inventory, tools, and equipment.
  •     Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  •     Check and report any shortages and malfunctions to the Shop Operations Manager.
  •     Complete disassembly and inspection as efficiently as possible so that parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly.
  •     Report to the Shop Operations Manager any additional work required to ensure proper operation and safety of equipment.

Job Requirements Include:

  •     1-3 years of mechanic experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing small engines with a willingness to continue learning.
  •     Basic Mechanic certification preferred.
  •     Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  •     High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  •     Valid, clean driver’s license required. CDL preferred.
  •     Strong communication skills are highly preferred.

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have essential hand tools expected for trade.
  • Must be dependable and a team player.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).
