Summary: This is a remote position that will report out of our Corporate office in Janesville and can be located within one hour from our Seguin, TX facility.
Under the direction of the Manager of Sales, the Key Account Manager will actively engage in all direct sales strategies and activities with an assigned large OEM customer. These accounts will be in alignment with our strategic market, revenue and profitability objectives. They will always maintain a keen working knowledge of their large complex customers and maintain high-level oversight to project success through alignment with Project Management and Engineering staff.
Key Account Managers engage in a long-term, consultative & fact-based selling and relationship building process. They develop their accounts and sell using their acquired technical, organizational, market and customer knowledge while leveraging all UA resources available to assist customers in applying UA’s qualified design and expert fabrication solutions and products to meet their specific needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Overall key account oversight that includes well-developed communication with varying levels of a Global OEM customer that could include Senior levels of leadership.
- Daily facilitation of planning/forecast, order entry, & scheduling via customer-specific ERP portals.
- Cross functional collaboration across the organization as appropriate, to ensure that cross functional areas are aware of key account activities and synchronization of efforts is leveraged.
- Establish, coordinate, & communicate account strategy and develop measurable performance indicators that measure the level of value that UA provides to our customers.
- Periodic business review both to our internal as well as external stakeholders on account status.
- Understand industry trends and capitalize on market insights to develop strategies and actionable plans that will continue to promote UA’s business abroad.
- Ability to articulate and negotiate commercial agreements and strategies that will drive a positive outcome for all parties.
- Leverage experience to Analyze, Support & Grow new market opportunities for United Alloy to continue our growth strategy.
- Cost & Profit analysis to routinely ensure and support the long-term growth of United Alloy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing to relocate or be within an hour of our Seguin, TX facility
- A bachelor’s degree in business or Engineering related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience successfully selling fabricated products to large OEM customers preferred.
- A demonstrated willingness to learn about our business and its customers, with an eagerness to continue to learn.
- A highly organized and disciplined person with a keen ability to prioritize and differentiate between the important and unimportant.
- A high aptitude for developing technical solutions and an ability to read and understand technical drawings and customer applications.
- A Collaborative mindset that seeks alignment cross-functionally as well as with external partners.
- Valid driver’s license is required. Must have a clean MVR report.
- A working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Adapted to working in an Infor: Cloudsuite ERP system environment.
- A working profieciency in an EDI environment is valued.
- Ability to travel +10% of the time
