Bensonwood is seeking a Procurement Lead - Buyer to join the team.

Position Summary

While adhering to all company ethical and legal policies, the Procurement Lead - Buyer will be responsible for the systematic execution of procedures for the timely and cost-effective purchasing of all raw materials and equipment required for Production projects.  Purchasing of inventory and supplies will be dictated by both shop and site Production schedules. This full-time position will report to the Director of Procurement and be located in our Walpole, New Hampshire facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Purchase inventory of raw materials and supplies
  • Maintain electronic procurement records of all items purchased
  • Negotiate price, quality, and delivery options with suppliers on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Project Allocation and Job Costing
  • Monitor routine min/max inventory schedules
  • Inventory and Cost Analysis
  • Perform other tasks as required

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Procurement of Wood Products and Construction Materials
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data-based Accounting software such as Sage Master Builder and Filemaker
  • CAD experience a plus
  • Computer literacy with the ability to work in all Microsoft and Google applications
