What You Will Do
The Building Systems Analyst will expand the capacity of the QES team and help develop projects that the sales team identifies and qualifies. Responsibilities will cover initial project development steps through client contract development. Knowledge of building systems (envelope, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) are important to the project development process. Awareness of commissioning measurement and verification procedures will help identify how these will be part of the post-construction project. Your responsibilities include:
- Process and analyze utility bills and maintenance costs data.
- Collect, organize, and review existing architectural and MEP drawings and identify equipment and system types.
- Participate in field visits and assist in identifying capital upgrades and efficiency measures that bring value to a client’s facilities.
- Assist in developing scopes of work that will be used to define subcontractor requirements.
- Assist in developing presentations that support the sales team.
- Provide support to develop proposals.
- Participate in training to maintain and expand personal knowledge base related to project development.
What You Bring
- Degree in Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a degree in Architectural Engineering
- Exposure to the construction management process or building trades.
- Experience with spreadsheets, technical and report writing, and blueprint reading.
- Understanding how energy and water-using systems in buildings work.
- Engineering/design for energy and water-using systems in buildings.
