Job Description: This position provides general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance within the facility.

SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Manager will exercise direct supervision over maintenance personnel across all current and future UA sites/facilities involving in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools and equipment, electrical systems, heating/cooling systems, facilities, structures, or equivalent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Develop working relationships with vendors/contractors to facilitate bids/quoting and control costs.
- Works with equipment vendors to facilitate and expedite on-site service, repairs, and information exchange to minimize machine downtime and adverse effects on Operations and the business.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Oversees major repairs disassembly/assembly to all equipment and support equipment,
- Oversees problem solving and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC equipment.
- Has basic understanding of electrical theory and safety.
- Responsible for general building and grounds maintenance, repairs, systems, and services.
- Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program” for all equipment, machinery, and tooling to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Monitor all work being performed by outside contractors.
- Responsible for alerting the Operations Team of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
- Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Follow established company policies and safety guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
- Maintain inspections and maintenance of building and HVAC roof motors and fans and replace as needed; clean, grease and paint all equipment used in heating and ventilation.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Detect faulty operations and report those and any unusual situations to Production Manager/Operations.
- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Controlling maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies.
- Track repair and maintenance expense in addition to capital expenditure requirements for machine, equipment, and tooling to ensure expenses are within budgeted amounts.
- Provides staffing, equipment, supplies, and support needed to mitigate downtime in production on a 24/7 basis.
- Coach, mentor and grow subordinate staff by identifying areas for improvement and providing opportunities, education and/or training to enhance these areas.
- Provides troubleshooting support for production.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in industrial maintenance
- Laser/press/overhead crane/forklift maintenance experience a plus
- Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations
- Must be familiar with metal fabrication concepts and processes.
- Must have experience with maintenance of fabrication equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks and responsibilities with a heightened sense of urgency.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
- Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, comprehend and implement lock-out tag-out procedures is required.
- Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements.
- Able to travel to all UA facilities as required.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.
