Position Description

- Railcar Wash Services to support ALPEK needs which include, but is not limited to, inspection of railcar, residual pellet material emptying, inputting data in tablet electronic system, & washing of car.
- The current work schedule for Railcar Wash is seven (7) days a week and eight (8) hours a day.
- Railcar wash involves the interior cleaning and inspection of ALPEK’s product transporting hopper railcars. This involves the spotting of railcars using the railcar indexer, inspection of various components for damage/nonconforming parts, cleaning per ALPEK’s procedure to food grade cleanliness, and performing minor repairs.
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor.
- Must be able to utilize basic math and read a tape measure.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively
- Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments
- 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work
- Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements
