Summary:    

  • Provides technical, quality control and administrative support to Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Managers on jobsites

Essential Functions:    

  • Ensure that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site
  • Performs field quality control tests
  • Prepares and manage quality control and production records
  • Keeps daily log of used and non-used material to track inventory
  • Research and resolves drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors
  • Performs field surveys and resolves geometry issues
  • Ensures all installation follows Nicholson Quality Control Manual

Education & Training:    

  • Current enrollment in Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
  • 0 years’ experience of construction equipment/ techniques (i.e. drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work). Prior internships within Construction field a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities:    

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Requirements:    

  • Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually
  • Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds continually
  • Assess safety and risk
  • Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment
  • Able to work in all types of weather
  • Travel per the company travel policy, often overnight and away from home for up to 2-4 weeks at a time within Rocky Mountain Region (travel compensation provided per Company Policy).
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility as needed
