Position Overview:
We are looking for a Project Engineer with expertise in construction and electric utilities to play a key role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of construction and electric utility systems. With solar, wind, and transmission and distribution being a big focus.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Engineering Design and Analysis:
- Conduct engineering analysis and design for construction and electric utility projects
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
Construction Management:
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Quality Assurance and Safety:
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to meet project requirements
- Prioritize and promote a culture of safety on construction sites, adhering to all relevant regulations
Client Interaction:
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to construction and electric utilities
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in construction or engineering related studies
- 1-5 years’ experience in construction or similar industry
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and electric utility systems
- Travel Required: Yes, this is a field position that will require traveling
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
- Other software experience is encouraged
- Military experience is acceptable
