General Summary Description

Project Managers oversee projects from the beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed safely and within time and budgetary constraints. In this role, you will be asked to take a project from estimating, through preconstruction and build it within budget.  Maintaining a positive relationship with the internal team, all project stakeholders and the client(s) representatives is paramount. 

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Planning and defining the scope of assigned projects
  • Ability to work independently or under the oversight of a Senior Project Manager as required
  • Conformity with project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Resource planning of safety, crew, equipment, plant, quality control, inventory, and compliance
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and regularly scheduled meetings with customers. Projects that we are General Contractor you will be responsible for facilitating the meetings
  • Liaison with customer’s resident engineer, inspectors, and other assigned clients
  • Oversight of sub contractor's activities as needed per project
  • Managing and coordinating multiple projects at a time
  • Prepare and communicate all essential project information to assigned field superintendents
  • Thorough project documentation
  • Project scheduling, productivity, awareness, and cost control
  • Monitoring and reporting job progress to field operations manager daily/weekly
  • Reviewing weekly job cost reports and project metrics
  • Month-end review meetings with Division Leadership
  • Commitment to the safety of employees and public
  • Dedication to the care of the company's assets
  • Support and engage in organization's continuous improvement efforts
  • Participation with Industry Organizations and a proactive approach to continuing education opportunities
  • Follow and enforce company policies
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Abilities and Expectations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Understanding and comfort level with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to learn accounting software such as Vista by Viewpoint.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong work ethic with integrity and commitment to compliance
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
