Due to continued growth, we are accepting applications for experienced Fire Alarm Technicians. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible to inspect and test fire alarm and fire suppression systems. Troubleshoot and identify deficiencies and issues that are needed to be repaired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test fire alarm and fire suppression systems
- Test batteries in panels
- Identify fire alarm deficiencies
- Knowledge of different types of panels and how to access systems for testing or service
- Troubleshooting issues on panel to determine which part of the fire alarm system is in need of repair
- Ability to read and use a multi meter properly
- Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers
- Keep up with NICET certifications
- Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Education/ Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Microsoft Office programs, ZEUS
- Familiarity with Siemens systems, EST, etc.
- Valid state driver’s license
- Travel between customer sites daily
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- NICET certification
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic)
- Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably
Starting wage: $20/hour
