Job Title: Receptionist

Job Type:  Full Time

Shift: M-F,  8 hour/day, Monday - Friday

Exempt Status:  Nonexempt

Work Location: Dansville, NY

Salary Range:  $16.00 - $18.00

The Receptionist will greet, welcome and direct guests as they arrive at the facility. 

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Insure area is tidy and presentable
  • Area is supplied with necessary stationery and materials (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations as needed
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs as required
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
  • Other staff support duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Enhanced phone system experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualification

  • 3 years of office experience including reception

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time in climate controlled office environment
  • Work in an office setting using keyboards, computers and phone system frequently throughout shift
  • Speak regularly to customers, vendors, employees regularly
  • Tolerable of moderate noise levels
  • Lift and carry up to 10 pounds for delivery of mail, packages, etc
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • See well at close and far range (either naturally or with correction).
  • Hear well (either naturally or with correction.)
