Hogan & Associates Construction has an immediate opening for a PAYROLL COORDINATOR. The successful candidate will be able to produce timely, accurate, and error-free results. Strong communication, excellent relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills will be required to deal effectively with a wide range of personality types across our organizations. The successful applicant will possess business ethics, personal integrity, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism with proprietary information from various sources. The position requires understanding accounting fundamentals and being deadline-driven, resourceful, and analytical.

Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate prior solid experience with:

  • Working with and understanding payroll processes and reporting
  • Data entry of employee information and various HR forms, including garnishments, levies, and other tax information
  • Understanding tax compliance in a multi-state environment
  • 401k plans, contributions, related reconciliations, and reporting
  • Understanding online timekeeping solutions and checking timesheets for accuracy

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verify and reconcile time and attendance data
  • Ensure accurate and timely compensation payment to employees
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate deductions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records

Preferences for candidates with significant experience in:

  • Corporate accounting environments
  • Construction and job cost accounting environments
  • Professional employer organizations serving multiple clients
  • Maintaining ADP payroll and employee records and running ADP reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with payroll software
  • Experience using Sage 300, Procore, or similar
