Hogan & Associates Construction has an immediate opening for an SENIOR ACCOUNTANT. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial activities of Hogan & Associates Construction. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Senior Accountant will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and support the company's overall financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department managers to establish targets and monitor performance.

  • Research and interpret accounting guidance and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

  • Mentor and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage 300 Construction Software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Benefits:

Salary $55k to $85k – depending on experience.
