JOB SUMMARY:

The Plumbing Apprentice is responsible for assisting full‐fledged Plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in both commercial and industrial buildings. This role is a great opportunity to learn the trade from seasoned Plumbers while working towards your Plumbing license and advancing your skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation of piping for water, gas, sewerage and drainage systems and related purposes.
  • Assembly in position and connection of equipment and appliances used in plumbing systems.
  • Welding connected with the trade and other methods of joining pipe.
  • Maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Operation, care and use of all tools connected with the trade.
  • Daily Cleanup

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Active participation in a designated Apprenticeship program if required.
  • This position requires working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
  • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
