The Electrical Project Manager will plan and oversee implementation of a wide range of electrical construction projects from start through completion with little to no oversight.  Responsible to set and maintain budgets, collaboration with subcontractors and field personnel; and ensure all applicable codes and regulations are met.  Close out and deliver projects in a timely and cost efficient manner. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and circuits.
  • Ability to read and understand prints, schematics and written reference material.
  • Oversee assigned projects from estimating to completion working with assigned journeymen, apprentices and laborers.
  • Maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, vendors and material suppliers.
  • Interact closely with internal teams to ensure project needs and objectives are met from an electrical standpoint.
  • Review of project documents, specifications and preparation of electrical proposal.
  • Coordination with construction project managers to resolve critical and time sensitive construction related electrical issues.
  • Participation in engineering, design and construction review process.
  • Estimate larger projects when required; work with Department Manager to finalize estimate.
  • Obtain all permits as required and work with assigned field staff to coordinate and schedule applicable inspections.
  • Coordinate material procurement for assigned projects.
  • Work with Safety Coordinator to ensure RWM safety processes and procedures are followed by assigned electrical field personnel.
  • Analyze job cost reports and prepare billings for assigned projects.
  • Oversee completion of all punch list items for assigned projects.
  • Obtain and submit as-built drawings as required for assigned projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES

  • Verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and team members
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure and meet constant deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Must possess a current State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician’s License
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic is required.

Digging and working in trenches. Working in confined spaces, from heights, and hot/cold weather conditions.
