Working from our location in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, you’ll embrace your get-it-done mindset as you manage all aspects of our most complex metal, machine design, fabrication, and installation projects from initial customer visit through completion. As part of the process, you’ll create CAD or hand drawings, prepare quotes for material and labor, and submit RFIs. You’ll keep us on schedule, manage resources, and resolve roadblocks. We’ll rely on you to visit customer sites on a regular basis (around once a week).
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural, or civil engineering or design and up to 5 years of project management experience (or equivalent)
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire)
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays, as well as work overtime or weekends based on project need
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, job specifications, and blueprints
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and apply engineering principles involving design, use of materials, and processes
- Excellent skills in writing reports, drafting contractual bids, and effectively presenting information
