Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on Scaffolding.
• 3 years of experience erecting scaffolding and rigging
• Ability to work confidently at heights
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Must have all required tools.

Duties:

• Obeys and follows all safety rules and policies.
• Attend daily JSA meetings
• Checks the construction requirements from drawings and written instructions, select materials and set ground levels.
• Fits together steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
• Places planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
• Checks levels in scaffolding structures.
• Dismantles scaffolding at the completing of jobs.
• Examines, selects, and gathers materials and tools.
• Inspect base surface for obstructions.
• Assembles scaffold containing handrails, mid rails, braces and planks, toe boards, screening, locking pins and wheels to job specifications.
• Loads, transports and unloads material.
• Determines type of scaffold needed and how to properly instruct on how to install.
• Oversight of transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
