Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on Scaffolding.
- 3 years of experience erecting scaffolding and rigging
- Ability to work confidently at heights
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Must have all required tools.
Duties:
- Obeys and follows all safety rules and policies.
- Attend daily JSA meetings
- Checks the construction requirements from drawings and written instructions, select materials and set ground levels.
- Fits together steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
- Places planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
- Checks levels in scaffolding structures.
- Dismantles scaffolding at the completing of jobs.
- Examines, selects, and gathers materials and tools.
- Inspect base surface for obstructions.
- Assembles scaffold containing handrails, mid rails, braces and planks, toe boards, screening, locking pins and wheels to job specifications.
- Loads, transports and unloads material.
- Determines type of scaffold needed and how to properly instruct on how to install.
- Oversight of transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
- Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
- Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
