Maintenance Support Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Inventory
    • Develop and implement procedures for ensuring that adequate shop supply, tooling and recurring parts inventory levels are present. Including supplies for the road mechanics.
    • Identify and optimize common inventory items.
    • Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.
    • Track parts orders by maintaining up to date back ordered parts list.
    • Ensure inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
    • Audit the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provide reports to management.
    • Monitor inventory and order of fuel, DEF, oils as needed.
    • Responsible for bulk ordering and ensuring safe storage of wash pad chemicals.
    • Maintain knowledge of project work schedules and timelines to ensure project fuel and DEF storage tanks are maintained at appropriate levels.
    • Continuously evaluate ordering, receiving, and inventory processes and make recommendations for efficiency improvements.
    • Train other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
    • Instruct others on how and where to pick up, return and store parts.
    • Keeps specific area for return items organized and ensure returns are timely.
    • Utilize the Inventory Module in QTC to receive parts, assign locations, and educate mechanics on how to pull parts into workorders.
    • Maintain PRS consumable inventory, keeping in communication with PRS on keep stock levels.
    • Scheduling the delivery of PRS consumables to drillers
    • Scheduling and coordinating pick up of roll off dumpsters for shop.

 

  • Warranty
    • Files parts warranty claims with manufacturers when defective parts are found.
    • Coordinate equipment inspections prior to expiration.
    • Coordinate with OEM/dealerships to keep relevant service letter items up to date.
    • Help ensure that warranty details are up to date in Viewpoint and QTC.

 

  • Rentals
    • Assist division management by arranging equipment rental needs and durations.
    • Monitor rental fleet levels and provide insight on trends and communicate need for owned fleet growth.
    • Monitor rental house portals for relevant data.
    • Use Blackbook and Rate templates to set rental equipment up in viewpoint.
    • Communicate relevant rental details to: PMs, PEs, Foreman, Superintendents, and Division managers. Also, internally in the equipment division for returns, swaps etc.
    • Research unique equipment requests (obtain quotes, spec sheets and other OEM documentation). Summarize findings and present to division management facilitate an informed acquisition decision.
    • Other miscellaneous tasks fleet management tasks may be assigned on as needed basis.
    • Maintain all company safety standards while using equipment and tools.
    • Follow all existing company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent industry experience.  
  • Knowledge of Tenna and Viewpoint.
  • Self-starter, detail oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete work on schedule.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.             
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including working over and weekends as needed.
  • Must have of a valid driver’s license and maintain driving record compliant with MVR policy guidelines.

 

Work Environment:

Work is performed in both an office setting as well as outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
