Job Description

Studio46 Media Senior Event Producers will be primarily responsible for managing all production elements for high-level accounts nationwide. This role requires a relationally driven, highly experienced individual who is comfortable interfacing with clients in fast-paced, time-critical situations and has demonstrated experience leading teams. Studio46 Event Production works as a team; the ideal candidate will ask for help when needed and eagerly seek the guidance of their peers. Expected daily activities include client communication, coordinating materials & equipment procurement, orchestrating internal and external production meetings, quote creation, crew coordination, and general departmental upkeep. Senior Event Producers are expected to be the primary point of contact between Studio46 and their Client throughout the life of any given project, taking the Client’s vision and creating a plan, quote(s), and other documentation as needed to facilitate appropriate communication to all affiliated parties or vendors. Senior Event Producers may be asked to perform other related duties as assigned. Senior Event Producers will report to the Director of Operations for Event Production.

Key Job Responsibilities

Production Planning:

  • Production documentation (including, but not limited to:)
    • Sales quotes
    • Layout diagrams
    • Equipment pull-sheets
    • Run-of-show documentation
    • Teleprompter scripts
  • Client Communication
    • This includes all forms of communication, including phone calls, emails, video calls, and in-person meetings
    • Timeliness of communication is paramount to the success of this role and is expected
  • Team Management
    • Communication with internal staff, subcontractors/freelancers, and temporary laborers
    • Conducts job briefings dedicated to the safety and efficiency of the crew
    • Engages in critical reflection with teammates
  • Coordination with venues and other vendors
    • Adherence to company presentation standards and represent Studio46 Media to any / all parties involved with the operation of Studio46’s business
    • Working with venue and vendors to deliver necessary documentation in a timely and professional manner (load in / out times, rigging plots, stage plots, etc.)

Inventory Knowledge:                                                                                               

  • Choose gear to quote for shows efficiently and accurately
  • Work with the Engineering Manager & Operations Director of Event Production to coordinate final gear selection
  • Maintain a working knowledge of equipment

Health & Safety:               

  • Facilitate production builds/strikes, following all associated safety regulations and Studio46 best practices
  • Comply with all company policies pertaining to public health policy, vaccination, masks, etc.

General Housekeeping:                

  • Clean and maintain a safe work area 
  • Keep operating base (both in-office and on the job site) organized and presentable
  • Assist in Studio46 studio and office operations as requested

Customer Service:

  • Ensure the highest standards of service while maintaining operational efficiency and a cohesive relationship with other departments
  • Maintain a clean & professional appearance, wearing branded clothing when applicable

Experience

  • 7+ years in Live Event Production management/coordination
  • Strong communication skills with other team members, leadership team, and internal/external customers
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to learn and use our inventory management & rental software/database system
  • Licenses and other specific certifications may be provided according to the need
  • Knowledge of industry standards relating to audio, video, and lighting design
  • Employees must be able to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods. Must also be able to move/lift heavy objects ranging 10-75 lbs. Clear vision and ability to use range of motion required.
