GeoSport Lighting in St. Gabriel, La is currently seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team working with our production warehouse. This role primarily focuses on efficiently managing the inventory of lighting components utilizing the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage a barcoding and part numbering system to streamline inventory tracking processes.
• Develop and maintain a system of minimum and maximum quantities to ensure optimal inventory levels and trigger timely reordering.
• Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the production team to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with standard hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. The ideal candidate should demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a proactive attitude towards creating and implementing effective inventory control systems.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Inventory control experience of 2 years minimum is desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
