Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Marketing and Business Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive business growth, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The role requires a combination of marketing expertise, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills.

Please note this is a full time, year round, in-office position. Our office is located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to achieve business objectives, including brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media marketing, to maximize online visibility and engagement.
  • Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, case studies, and marketing collateral, to educate and engage target audiences.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, and use insights to inform marketing and business development strategies.
  • Implement lead generation campaigns and tactics to generate qualified leads and opportunities for the sales team, leveraging both inbound and outbound marketing approaches.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances to expand the company's market presence and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, industry influencers, and internal teams, to drive collaboration and business growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and materials that effectively communicate the value proposition and differentiate the company in the marketplace.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing and business development metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement.

Preferred Experience & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in marketing and business development roles
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, with expertise in digital marketing strategies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding marketing and business development goals.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
