Job Description
The Construction Equipment Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and scheduled maintenance of all Construction Worksite Products (CWP) and Small Engine products that Van Wall offers such as lawnmowers, snowblowers, John Deere Gators and other small products.  All work will be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. The technician must be able to diagnose, using the appropriate technical manual procedures and/or online computer manuals and special tools. Additionally, the technician must be able to perform complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning.  Safely operate all machines marketed by the dealership.

Essential Duties
-Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
-Perform diagnosis and repair of equipment as required
-Perform reconditioning and repair of all machine systems and components.
-Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
-Report work required on equipment to the Service Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customer.
-Participate in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager.
-Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
-Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.

Job Requirements
-Experience with repair of construction equipment strongly preferred
-Associate Degree in technician program preferred
-2+ years experience in a related mechanical field
-Ownership of necessary tools
-Valid driver’s license required with insurability under company fleet insurance policy
-High School diploma required
