Regional Sales Manager (West Coast)

**Please note this role is fully remote but the candidate must reside in the sales territory. This role is up to 75% travel.**

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience selling industrial premium products through distribution. You know how to maintain and expand a customer base by working through distribution with the end customer. You understand value proposition and know how to position your product against the competition.
  • Travel Enthusiast: You enjoy being on the road and exploring new areas in your region, with approximately 75% travel time.
  • Relationship Builder: A strong network and relationship builder with out-of-the-box problem-solving and sales skills focused on providing solutions.
  • Competitive Spirit: Someone who wants to win and needs to know the score at all times. You have demonstrated success by achieving regional sales & operational objectives time and time again.
  • Analytical Mindset: You know the difference between leading and lagging indicators and the importance of each by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Problem Solver: You enjoy resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining regional sales system improvements, and implementing change when necessary.
  • Independent Worker: Lots of patience, high emotional intelligence, and a self-starter. The ability and desire to work independently while keeping leadership updated.
  • CRM Proficiency: You’re super comfortable using a CRM and know how to make the system work for you.
  • Product Expert: It is easy for you to recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities or changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.
  • Excel Proficiency: You understand that Microsoft Excel is a necessary evil, but you’re good at it anyway. You feel right at home building a new spreadsheet or using a pivot table to analyze data.

Job Duties:

  • Manage Relationships: Actively manage distributor relationships within an assigned geographic region of the US.
  • Training & Education: Train and educate distributor/dealer personnel on Strong-Hold products.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate procedures, policy, pricing, and promotions on a timely basis to customers.
  • Sales Growth: Increase incremental sales growth by working with all customer field levels per direction.
  • Reporting: Effectively communicate activity within the territory, both verbally and via written reports to leadership as directed.
  • Event Support: Support company and industry-related events and activities, including customer events/demos, trade shows, representative training, and other events.
  • Collaboration: Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.
  • Additional Duties: Other duties and/or activities as assigned in relation to a sales and regional management role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: 5 years of manufacturing sales experience or a similar industry.
