Position Description
This position is responsible for performing technical work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems. Filling in for emergency call duties are required.
Starting wage:
Traffic Signal Technician II: $25.00/HR and up
Traffic Signal Technician III: $30.00/HR and up
Candidates will be considered for the position and wage that aligns with experience and licensing.

Minimum Qualifications
Traffic Signal Tech II
- 2-5 years of Traffic Signal Technician experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret standard construction drawings and schematics.
- Hold a current Level II IMSA Traff Signal Technician certification or have the ability to acquire one within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient in operation of bucket trucks and other standard equipment associated with the industry.
- Ability to manage 1 to 2 people and perform duties with limited supervision.
Traffic Signal Tech III
- 3-5 years of Traffic Signal Technician experience preferred.
- Level III IMSA Traffic Signal Technician certification required.
- Must be fully experienced in programming and troubleshooting all aspects of intersections with multiple phases, to include troubleshooting of pedestrian audible buttons, and multiple vehicle detection systems, BIUs, conflict monitors, controllers, and coordination.
- Responds to various trouble calls for damaged equipment, problematic components, or malfunctioning signal equipment.
- Performs stand-by or “On Call” duty for after hour response within 2 hours of call out; handles emergency situations on a rotating schedule.
- Operates a computer with general proficiency.
- Mentors/trains less experienced crew members.
