The Plate Roll Operator will shape, reduce the cross-sectional area, and elongate metal pieces by passing them between smooth-surfaced or rotating rollers which exert a continuous compressive force. Perform tasks related to the rolling of steel plate, efficiently, and to Landmark's quality standards. (2nd Shift)

Essential Functions:

  • Operate rolling machine to form metal plates, sheets, or bars into arcs, cylinders, or cones, using drawings, templates, and knowledge of geometry and physical properties of metal to set up machine and plan sequence of operations
  • Perform layout work required for the forming of tank parts and components
  • Perform and document QA/QC checks
  • Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of roll machinery and handling equipment
  • Understanding of OSHA Part 1910 and 1926

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient use of one of more of the following: hydraulic press, brake press, and/or plate rolls
  • Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift
