Who We Are
Pulpmill Services, Inc. (PSI) primary business is the manufacturing, installation, maintenance and repair of high alloy rotary vacuum equipment, diversifying into industrial general construction including concrete, structural steel, piping and mechanical projects. PSI has full-service high alloy fabrication and machine shops utilizing advanced CNC machines, water jet and plasma tables and large horizontal and vertical milling machines.
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for the day-to-day production of Pulpmill Services’ specialty fabrication business to include supervising, planning and coordination of employees and jobs.
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to the following key functions:
Essential Functions
- Consult with tradesmen to ensure projects are completed on time and quality is being met.
- Set priority of workflow to ensure due dates are met.
- Recommend, specify, and requisition tooling and equipment for fabrication disciplines.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production and improve efficiency.
- Assist in training welders, fitters, fabricators and helpers.
- Work with estimators and project managers in fabrication time estimates.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any production issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain regular contact with PSI employees and production team.
- Perform all duties safely.
- Willing to learn and perform other tasks and duties as needed.
- Follow and enforce QA/QC procedures; ensures follow-through of documentation, communication, and correction of any non-conforming work including follow-up inspections.
Competencies
- Skilled in print reading, fitting, forming, rigging and welding.
- Skilled in stainless steel sheet metal fabrication of small to large equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot welding machines and similar equipment.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc.
- Great sense of urgency.
- Be able to think quickly and critically in response to scope changes on small to large equipment.
- Self-driven.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written form or verbally so that instructions can be followed with minimal chance of error.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member with other personnel.
- Physically inspect welds, measurements, tolerance, finishes, etc as necessary

Education and Experience
- Prefer 5+ years of supervision experience
- Prefer 10+ years of fabrication/welding experience.
Additional eligibility requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State Issued ID.
- Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation
- $85,000+/annually (exact rate to be determined based on experience and qualifications)
