Job Summary
This position provides administrative and back up support services to the Engineering department. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:          

Project setup for Rebar and Pipe jobs in using applicable software programs.

Performs concrete pipe piece take off and other pipe products from bid documents.

Performs reinforcing bar list take off and inputs using applicable software programs.

Input and maintain product listings in applicable software program.

Input and maintain NDOT project information logs.  Track strand heat number logs.

Maintains paper structural and hollow core job files and calculations.

Performs clerical duties as needed, such as typing, filing, photocopying, and collating.

Request purchase orders for large format copier supplies

Performs request for Precast customer surveys and compiles results.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:       

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year certificate from college or technical school; and
  • one year related experience and/or training; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid Driver’s License                   

Skills and Abilities:           

  • Must be able to multi-task according to the needs of the operation.
  • Must have accurate and good typing and 10 key adder skills. 
  • Must have excellent numerical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.   
  • Working knowledge of Office software -- Word and Excel is preferred.
