Position Overview

Our clients look to SPC to provide them with a well-managed construction process from pre- construction to project closeout. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of a team focused on creating long-term client relationships with industry leading companies.

The role supports Superintendents, Project Managers, Asst. Project Managers and other team members throughout the Pre-Construction and Construction phases of our projects. If you are a career-oriented person, desire to work as part of a team that ensures the smooth delivery of projects and interested in furthering your personal growth, you will be on the career path to becoming an Assistant Project Manager, then Project Manager, and ultimately a Sr. Project manager with the SPC Team.

Description

The project engineer’s position provides administrative and project support for the project team. They act as a point of contact for internal groups (SPC team members), and external groups (Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors). This position will have essential duties and responsibilities within pre-construction, project administration, and the close out functions of a project.

Our Project Engineers provide support and are a part of a team that is responsible for the overall management, execution, and outcomes of the following segments of a project:

Pre-Construction I Project Administration I Scheduling I
Constructability & Technical I OAC & Site Meetings

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 products (including Project), experience with PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Procore productivity software

  • Anticipates manager’s needs and takes initiative

Education/Experience

  • At least 3+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu of the same
  • Experience with pre-construction bidding & estimating software and construction project management & document control software technology platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Business (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF

In accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Compensation in other cities may vary. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
