Position Summary

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be at the heart of our Project Management Team. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting Project Manager(s) in planning, document control, scheduling, writing contracts, Client & Architect/Engineer interaction, coordinating with various internal departments, and tracking overall project schedule and budgets. Assistant Project Managers report to the Director of Project Management. 

Your responsibilities will include assistance in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include but are not limited to:

  • On-site & in-office Project Management
  • Coordinate with site superintendents & staff as needed 
  • Assist accounting department with billing and invoicing 
  • Cost tracking (monthly costs to complete)
  • Meeting minutes and distribution
  • Change order follow thru
  • Contracts and subcontracts 
  • Punch list management
  • Submittals & RFI’s Monitoring and modifying project schedules
  • Warranty, owners manuals, and project closeout

Minimum Qualifications

In this role, you will develop new skills while contributing to our team culture. The minimum experience required for this position includes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and construction math
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience working with construction management software 
  • Basic CAD knowledge
  • Proficient typing skills 
  • OSHA training
  • Experience on-site in the residential and commercial construction industry
  • Ability to assist laborers on-site if needed
  • A College degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering is a plus. Field and office experience will be considered instead of a degree.
