Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Performs scheduled and emergency locations of electric, water, and wastewater underground transmission, distribution, and collection facilities.
• Maintains file of scheduled and emergency locations for future reference.
• Assists GIS Administrator with the production of electric, water and wastewater facility maps.
• Follow guidelines when making changes to facility maps.
• Trains personnel in field location and identification of underground facilities.
• Assumes the duties of GIS Administrator in his/her absence.
• Acts as a backup for the metering department.

Qualifications: 

• A high school education or equivalent.
• Two- (2) year technical degree and Auto CAD Certification desired. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary in order to deal with a wide range of personalities both inside and outside the organization.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, Auto CAD, and word processing needed.
• A valid Indiana driver’s license is required.
