We are currently searching for Branch Manager for our branch in Bowling Green, OH!
Under the direction of the Market Leader, the Branch Manager supports the company’s core values and focuses on providing an exceptional client experience. The Branch Manager oversees the sales, operations, and team members of a branch office with loans and deposits of varying amounts. This can be a full-or limited-facility office. Exercises executive and administrative control over the functions of the office. Administers the operation of the office with primary emphasis on growing deposits, growing loans, customer service activities, deepening existing relationships and generating new business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage:
- Coaching team members to improve performance and meet goals.
- Know your numbers and publish goals and results.
- Know how to conduct quality conversations utilizing the Service Excellence Process and regularly coach your team to do the same.
- Equip team members with the skills and tools necessary to succeed and hold the team accountable for making goals.
- Conduct team huddles at least weekly.
- Ensure that all marketing signage and material is effectively placed in the branch.
- Must be a “sales champion” for the company. Must be motivated to work with customers and prospects, both retail and commercial, to deepen existing relationships and generate new business.
- Proactively schedules appointments each week and manages pipeline to ensure goals are being consistently met each month for the branch.
- Opens and closes the office, maintains, and stays abreast of security policies and procedures.
- Supervises vault operations and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of office policies and procedures with respect to approving checks and overrides.
- Processes deposits and teller work when necessary.
- Manages customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.
- Generates consumer loan applications and solicits business for new consumer loans.
- Manages Tellers, Head Tellers, Assistant Managers, and Personal Bankers. Provides input on the hiring and review process.
- Ensures that scheduling is appropriate to meet customer traffic volumes.
- Conducts periodic operational training that covers security, regulatory compliance, and other procedural issues, as necessary.
- Be able to run a teller window and process basic customer transactions as a backup when necessary.
- Open new accounts.
Office Operations:
- Monitors audit requirements and compliance issues for branch.
- Keep abreast of changes in products, policies, and procedures, and attend training as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Including, but not limited to, BPM, Cash Recycler, and Teller functions.
Customer Service and Community Involvement:
- Assists customers with resolution of account problems and issues.
- Ensure that all of the Tellers, Head Tellers, Assistant Managers and Personal Bankers, are providing excellent customer service.
- Actively involved in community and civic organizations as appropriate to represent the bank in the community.
New Business Development:
- Responsible for generating new deposit and loan volume for the bank. This will include soliciting new business relationships and deepening relationships with existing customers, both retail and commercial.
- Oversee the new business development activities of other retails employees in the branch for loan, deposits, and fee income with focus on UBC Wealth Management, Treasury Management and Merchant Services
- Participates in activities for generating new business such as sales calls and special events. Supports overall office sales efforts. Sales goals may be established by management.
- Solicits consumer loans. Inform prospective loan clients of the financial institution’s underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.
- Distribute market data, rate flyers and general loan information to the real estate community as directed by management.
- Actively participates in local business and community activities and maintains close contact with both retail and commercial, customers and prospects.
- Completes each loan application and all pre-processing functions in a timely manner to permit all disclosures to be mailed within the required time period for mortgage secured loans.
- Communicates complex approvals or denials to the borrower.
- Works to ensure there are no loan exceptions and clears exceptions timely.
- Works with asset management department regarding delinquent account files for the financial institution.
Special requirements for the position:
- Minimum 4 years of Retail Banking or financial services experience with heavy emphasis on consumer and business development required as well as supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business-related major or equivalent of 3 years of successful sales management experience, preferably in financial services
- Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor.
- Intermediate PC proficiency
- Must have proven success meeting established sales and referral goals for banking products and services.
- Must have the capability to work under stress and manage difficult situations.
