Performs tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Torque with hydraulic torque wrenches
- Stud Tensioning
- Bolt Measuring
- Hydraulic Nut Splitting
- Prep work pieces to be welded
- Demo existing equipment, piping systems, structures and foundations
- Ability to operate hand and power tools of all types.
- May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials.
- Work both independently and as part of a team with other field technicians
- Troubleshoot onsite bolting equipment and determine the proper methods to meet the customer’s needs and specific applications.
- Meet and communicate with customers in a professional manner.
- Properly use and complete customer and company job related forms and paperwork.
- Properly use, care for and maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Ability to interpret blue prints
- Performing torque and tensioning services on various bolted applications such as flanges for mechanical piping and structural connections and associated hardware using calibrated mechanical torque wrenches and documenting results.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer and math skills are required.
- Good decision-making skills are required.
- Must possess a basic knowledge of hand tools and possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and shifts.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and be capable of self-direction.
- Must be able to work 20-30 feet above ground.
- Must be able to provide own general hand tools.
