We are seeking a CNC Operator with proven Woodworking/Carpentry experience to join our growing team at our Prefabricated Home Production Facility in Keene, New Hampshire. This is a fast-paced position where you will be cutting lumber products for framing assembly by our production team.

In this role, you will be the lead person for the coordination and operation of the CNC framing speed cutting machine with an automated vacuum feeding system. This position runs, as well as oversees the operations of both the Hundegger SC1 and SC3 and Joulin for cutting all parts for in-house production as well as on-site fabrication. 

We are looking to have you start immediately on first shift for training and then move to second shift beginning in November. Second shift will be scheduled Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11 PM with weekends off! Did we mention those working second shift will earn an additional $2.50/hr shift differential!?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the production team to cut parts.
  • Complete machine file checking process.
  • Follow schedule and check off completed tasks.   
  • Work with procurement department to time material ordering. 
  • Communicate with the virtual fabrication department when files need to be updated.  
  • Modify machine files and eliminate waste when necessary.  
  • Produce weekly efficiency reports. 
  • Meet or exceed daily goals to keep up with production teams. 
  • Update SOPs as needed.
  • Machine maintenance and coordination with maintenance and repair crews. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Woodworking, carpentry, and/or construction knowledge and experience. 
  • CNC operation experience is helpful but not required! We are willing to train. 
  • Ability to safely operate a side loading fork truck to load and unload parts to the machine and deliverer cut parts to the production team. 
  • Ability to lead 2 to 3 team members.  
  • Ability to train others on machine operation and perform machine maintenance.   
  • Ability to lift heavy timbers and lumber.
  • Positive attitude in a team setting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication. 
  • Ability focus on continuous improvement.  
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.   

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience
