In this role you will:
- Play a pivotal role in guiding our financial strategies and operations. You’ll work closely with our VP of Finance and Administration to manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, ensuring that our financial processes are robust, efficient, and aligned with our business goals.
- Execute the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements, ensuring that all financial reporting aligns with GAAP and company standards.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Spearhead initiatives to enhance and automate accounting processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and monitor the annual budget, providing actionable insights and recommendations based on thorough financial analysis.
- Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of internal controls and proper segregation of duties, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead the coordination of external audits, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and prepared in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making and drive financial performance.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for an accomplished person who’s ready to transition from public accounting or take their expertise to a new company where they can truly make a difference.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA Certification: A must-have, with a solid foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a concentration in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Lean accounting is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Dynamics, Excel, ERP systems, and a keen interest in automation and technology-driven process improvements.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variable situations where limited standardization exists.
- Integrity and Respect: Open and honest, value differences in thought and approach.
- Extreme Ownership: Self-starter who accepts personal responsibility and treats the company as their own.
- Team First Attitude: Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
