Position Summary

The Maintenance I position is responsible for general building and grounds upkeep as well as any projects at any of the G&D facilities. This includes but is not limited to painting, drywall, racking, floor striping, plumbing, basic HVAC and plumbing as well as grounds keeping. Travel is typically local but occasionally will require an out-of-state trip. The Maintenance I position is required to keep their area safe and clean.


Primary Responsibilities

    • Maintains office and warehouse needs.
    • Performs basic plumbing tasks.
    • Performs basic electrical tasks.
    • Performs interior painting.
    • Works with at least 1 other person on tasks
    • Works with handheld power tools.
    • Certified on Sit Down power industrial truck.
    • Lawn Upkeep
    • Works efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity, quality and cost.
    • Understands and follows all ISO and 5S initiatives.
    • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skill.
    • Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • HVAC
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Previous experience operating power industrial truck.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of one year of building maintenance related experience.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified to use power industrial truck.
  • Lock Out/Tag Out certification.
  • Valid Driver s License Required.

  • Pay Range: $18-$22/HR

  • PREFERRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:*

 

  • Technical or Associate s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in HVAC
  • Minimum of one year of experience in landscaping trade.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
