OBJECTIVE: Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) is seeking a highly skilled Analytics Engineer to develop and execute the organization’s data strategy. The ideal candidate will have a balance of strategy and technical experience, with a strong background in data warehousing, experience with Power BI, and proficiency in Python ETL processes. As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Advise operation team and senior staff on the organization’s data strategy to optimize value to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, integrate, and transform large datasets from various sources using Python.
- Build and optimize data warehouses to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into a working solution.
- Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

TRAVEL
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Power BI for creating dashboards and managing environments.
- Strong experience in designing and managing data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Talend, C-Data).
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent project management skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Various forms of technology will be used to ensure connectivity while officing remote.
