The IT Support Specialist provides technical support for all equipment, software, and services and assists employees by phone, email, chat, local on-site visits, or remote access. This position assists network, systems, and security administrators to maintain the security and usability of hardware, software, and services
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for company-provided computer and mobile equipment, accessories, software, and services.
- Provide coverage for incoming support requests after normal working hours as scheduled.
- Provide basic user training for new installations of hardware, software, and services.
- Resolve all tickets assigned based on IT procedures and policies and within established SLAs.
- Document and track all support tasks along with details of all work completed in the ticket system.
- Setup computer equipment and install software based on defined procedures.
- Assist the Systems, Network, or Security Administrators with any projects requiring additional resources to deploy company-wide software / settings or to deal with company-wide system or security issues.
- Enforce company-wide IT policies when working on any computer or network equipment.
- Local travel for IT related tasks such as shipping and device repair.
- Continuous learning of the following:
- Microsoft Windows and Office 365
- iPadOS
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher.
- Experience using the current versions of the Windows client-based operating systems.
- Experience using the current version of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Outlook Web Access.
- Understanding of the use of the internet, search engines, and artificial intelligence platforms for research.
- Phone and in-person support experience is preferred.
- Background in the Construction industry is preferred
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and finger, grasp, reach with hands and arms, see, speak, and hear. Frequently stand and walk. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Some work is performed in an office environment, while other work may be performed at constructions job sites.
