The salary ranging for this position is $17.00-$25.00 an hour.
Cash Application Specialist
The Cash Application Specialist will perform a variety of account receivable tasks under the supervision of the AR Manager & Controller. This is an in-person role.
Job Responsibilities
- Record and apply cash receipts daily in Accounting System related to lockbox payments, and EFTs up to 500 cash receipts a day.
- Process and apply physical checks and credit card payments.
- Research transactions related to credit card processing, EFTs, and lockbox transactions as needed.
- Daily reconciliation of all payment applications.
- Be comfortable learning and working in multiple accounting systems.
- Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of solving problems and frequent communication with branches.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to branch teams and external customers
- Assist branches with payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Other A/R duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- 2 or more years’ experience as a Cash Applications
- Understanding of basic accounting and accounts receivable principles
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Combination of strong attention to detail, problem-solving and customer service skills
- Willing to pass a post-offer drug screen, background, and reference check
