Position Overview: The Parts Counter Salesperson is a vital member of Coastline Equipment’s McCall, Idaho location, playing a key role in upholding our reputation for excellence in customer service and operational support. This position is responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right parts, processing orders accurately, and maintaining inventory integrity. Additionally, the Parts Counter Salesperson supports Service Technicians, manages showroom organization, and contributes to rental operations. This role is essential in ensuring that Coastline Equipment continues to provide top-tier service and support to our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Provide expert guidance to customers in selecting parts, offering tailored recommendations and alternatives to meet their specific needs.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately process online orders and prepare items for timely customer pickup, ensuring efficiency and reliability in order delivery.
- Inventory Management: Verify received inventory, place items in their designated locations, and assist with cycle counts. Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Parts Sales Lead to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Technician Support: Supply parts and offer assistance to Service Technicians, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Showroom Maintenance: Organize and maintain showroom displays to create a professional and inviting atmosphere that reflects Coastline Equipment’s commitment to quality.
- Equipment Organization: Keep department tools and equipment in proper working order, ensuring a well-maintained and efficient workspace.
- Rental Operations: Respond to rental equipment inquiries, manage rental contracts, inspect and clean returned items, and track service schedules for rentals.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards, including proficient forklift operation.
- Training Participation: Attend company-sponsored training to enhance product knowledge and technical skills, contributing to personal and professional growth.

Required Qualifications:
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with John Deere and competitor equipment is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professional and effective customer interaction.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes and effective customer engagement techniques to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a strong driving record and be at least 25 years of age to meet insurance requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: $21 - $28 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
