As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking candidates for a Contracts Dept. Project Manager position to support the Sprinkler Contracts Department at our office in Auburn, ME.  This position will play a critical role in our fire protection team by coordinating and managing the status of projects as they move through the contracts department from sales to installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist preconstruction estimating department with triage of projects to be priced.
  • Assist design department with surveying and coordinating with other subcontractors on jobsites.
  • Review design fabrication lists prior to fabrication.
  • Attend meetings as needed with General Contractors and owners for upcoming projects for both estimating and mobilization for installation.
  • Review small projects to provide minimal design and listing of materials for projects not requiring full sprinkler design.

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills both oral and written when working with all levels of management and employees, customers, external vendors and other business associates. Clearly communicates directions and information.
  • Strong knowledge of the fire sprinkler industry with a background in sprinkler design and general knowledge of all operations of a sprinkler contracts department.
  • Ability to use necessary software and programs for time entry, scheduling, and communicating.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience in leading teams and effectively allocating resources.
  • Min. 10 years experience in the sprinkler industry.
