BUSINESS APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR
The Business Application Administrator is responsible for managing designated enterprise-wide applications, providing technical support, and delivering user training. This role involves:
- Conducting functional and user acceptance testing, including stress, performance, and scalability testing for supported applications.
- Diagnosing and addressing operational data requests, resolving data issues, and recommending solutions.
- Collaborating with external partners for system support, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Gathering requirements for small to medium-scale projects.
- Coordinating and facilitating consulting efforts or special meetings with department stakeholders.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication with both internal teams and external partners, and a proactive approach to ensuring optimal application performance and user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with construction applications, business applications, or similar systems
- Sharp problem-solving, analytical, and innovative thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences

Office and Travel:
Travel between Twin Cities office locations may be required to support various offices and projects, so a reliable vehicle is essential. Occasional travel to regional office locations may also be necessary. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
This role leverages strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address organizational challenges and opportunities. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- User Access Management: Add, modify, and remove user access to applications.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot application issues promptly and escalate complex problems to the application support team as needed.
- Application Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of application menus, functions, and features.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve system issues and ensure performance expectations are met.
- System Updates and Testing: Coordinate testing and validation for system changes, upgrades, and enhancements, working with external partners to ensure updates are applied successfully.
- Documentation: Create, maintain, and retire application-specific documentation.
- User Support and Training: Provide advice, training, and technical support for end users as both a technical and functional expert.
- Business Process Improvement: Assess business process requirements, identify application solutions, and stay informed on the latest software developments to improve efficiency and success.
- Issue Escalation and Resolution: Identify, escalate, and manage system issues to resolution while maintaining consistent communication throughout the process.
- Upgrade Coordination: Analyze and resolve issues related to system upgrades and changes, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation.

Employee may also be required to visit satellite office locations to work with the business leaders in gathering business and system requirements.
