This role will handle general accounting tasks such as data entry, payroll reporting, accounts payable and receivable, as well as various accounting tasks for other team members. Additionally, they will assist in preparing certain financial and general reports.
Responsibilities:
- General AP duties
- Receiving, coding and entering invoices to be paid
- General AR duties
- Receiving, coding and entering receivables
- Understanding construction AIA forms and retention policies
- Follow up on past due invoices
- Contract Compliance
- Reporting data to clients based on contract terms
- General Payroll Reporting Forms
- Tracking and reporting certain demographic information
- Maintaining and responsible for various demographic reports
- Contacting and interacting with subcontractors or agencies for data
- Payment Duties/Accounts Receivable application
- Receiving payments against AR/posting payments to the correct accounts
- Various Accounting projects and report generation as requested by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer
- Journal Entries for general ledger
- Account Reconciliation

None in this role.
Required Skills/Capabilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and construction accounting
- Willingness and ability to learn and understand construction specific rules and regulations
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent Excel Skills and working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Experience in eCMS (Computer Guidance), a plus
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Prior accounting experience, 2 years cumulative minimum
