Gain exposure to all facets of field engineering duties, including assuming full responsibility for specific tasks assigned by the project manager and superintendent. Plus: become equipped with direct, hands-on experience that could lead to full-time employment.
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Assist with surveying and layout from plans and control points.
- Coordinate testing and sample collection.
- Timekeeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring, and concrete logs.
- Document and record meeting minutes.
- Collect superintendent daily reports, weekly project pictures and safety documentation. Review for completeness and include in project documentation.
- Third-party rented equipment management.
- Request and submit purchase orders.
- Receive, code & submit invoices and receipts to Accounting.
- Receive, label and store supplies, tools or equipment used in production.
- Report preparation, RFI’s, safety inspections, drawing updates, submittal logging, and processing.
- Support project managers and superintendents with progressive levels of responsibility.
- Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities, verifying work, solving problems, and reviewing sub’s progress and payments.
- Order, verify, and expedite material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
