Position Overview
Coastline Equipment is looking for a dynamic Precision Solutions Territory Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving sales, rentals, and training related to TopCon and John Deere Precision Construction GPS, Laser, and Optical equipment within our Las Vegas territory. The ideal candidate will work to expand our market presence, build strong customer relationships, and ensure the effective implementation of precision solutions to help clients achieve their construction goals. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting Coastline Equipment’s core values of innovation, reliability, and customer success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Rental Management: Drive sales and rental of TopCon and John Deere Precision Construction equipment, ensuring achievement of sales targets and market share expansion.
  • Customer Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to enhance their construction projects.
  • Product Knowledge & Expertise: Stay current with product features, benefits, and competitive landscape to effectively position Coastline Equipment’s precision solutions in the market.
  • CRM Utilization: Use CRM tools to manage customer data, track sales activities, and ensure accurate reporting and follow-ups.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities, collaborating with management to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing customer events, product demonstrations, and field presentations to promote product capabilities and engage customers.
  • Training & Support: Provide on-site training for customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of precision equipment, ensuring they derive maximum value from their purchases.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that assigned equipment and company vehicles are well-maintained and ready for customer interactions and demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or sales training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in equipment sales, ideally within a territory-based role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the construction industry, particularly related to precision equipment such as GPS, laser, and optical systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with iOS platforms and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • CRM Experience: Experience using CRM systems for managing sales and customer relationships.
  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English (preferred).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales reports and customer feedback to make informed business decisions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer and business needs.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior Industry Experience: Experience selling precision construction equipment, including GPS, Laser, and Optical systems.
  • Certifications: ASE certification or other industry-recognized certifications related to equipment sales or technical training.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with TopCon and John Deere products and diagnostic tools.
  • Event Coordination: Experience in planning and executing customer events and field demonstrations.
  • Sales Support: Knowledge of financing programs and sales incentives to support equipment sales and rentals.

Work Environment

  • Location: Primarily office-based with frequent field activities, including customer visits and equipment demonstrations.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel within the California territory, including cities such as Long Beach, Oxnard, Santa Maria, and Bakersfield.
  • Field Conditions: Comfortable working in diverse environments, including construction sites and client offices, and under varying weather conditions.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and collaborates closely with Sales Representatives, Service Technicians, and Parts Specialists. There may also be opportunities to mentor and guide junior sales staff within the territory.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 per year (Base + Commission), commensurate with experience and performance.
