POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an IT Security Analyst to be a part of our Network Infrastructure Services (NIS) team tohelp maintain an up-to-date and secure IT environment and assist the NIS team where needed. This rolerequires experience with network and endpoint security and will report to the IT Network and SecurityManager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network protocols.
- Knowledge of network communication, network management and network security.
- Knowledge of endpoint security.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac operating systems.
- Knowledge of Linux operating system a plus.
- Familiarity with Email security a plus.
- Familiarity network vulnerability scanning tools a plus.
- Familiarity with firewalls a plus.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Investigate and mitigate security detections and incidents.
- Monitor system and security logs on all network/security platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve/escalate security issues and service desk tickets.
- Maintain, optimize and troubleshoot email systems and proxies.
- Investigate phishing email reports.
- Maintain, optimize and troubleshoot identity management services.
- Conduct systematic vulnerability scanning of all network devices.
- Assess, prioritize and remediate system vulnerabilities on all devices and operating systems.
- Monitor learning management system training campaigns.
- Gather metrics and create security status reports for upper management.
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A BS/BA in Computer Science or information technology discipline or 3+ years of relevant work
- experience.
- Comp TIA Security+, Comp TIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Comp TIA Pen Test+, GIAC Security
- Essentials (GSEC), CISA or CISSP certifications desired but not required.
