POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an IT Security Analyst to be a part of our Network Infrastructure Services (NIS) team tohelp maintain an up-to-date and secure IT environment and assist the NIS team where needed. This rolerequires experience with network and endpoint security and will report to the IT Network and SecurityManager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network protocols.
• Knowledge of network communication, network management and network security.
• Knowledge of endpoint security.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac operating systems.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system a plus.
• Familiarity with Email security a plus.
• Familiarity network vulnerability scanning tools a plus.
• Familiarity with firewalls a plus.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Investigate and mitigate security detections and incidents.
• Monitor system and security logs on all network/security platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve/escalate security issues and service desk tickets.
• Maintain, optimize and troubleshoot email systems and proxies.
• Investigate phishing email reports.
• Maintain, optimize and troubleshoot identity management services.
• Conduct systematic vulnerability scanning of all network devices.
• Assess, prioritize and remediate system vulnerabilities on all devices and operating systems.
• Monitor learning management system training campaigns.
• Gather metrics and create security status reports for upper management.

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• A BS/BA in Computer Science or information technology discipline or 3+ years of relevant work
• experience.
• Comp TIA Security+, Comp TIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Comp TIA Pen Test+, GIAC Security
• Essentials (GSEC), CISA or CISSP certifications desired but not required.
